The power of a hug 🤗

How often do you cuddle?

As humans we crave to be hugged 13 times a day.

To receive the health benefits of a good hug we need to stay connected for at least 20 seconds.

That’s less than half a minute!

The love and connection hormone oxytocin is released and this boosts our immunity, reduces our blood pressure, slows down our heart rate.

Makes you feel calm and safe.

So go and give someone you love a big ol squidge, have a lovely cuggle and don’t pull away, spend more time there, as it benefits you and the other person.

So let’s get those happy hormones flowing and Be a love and cuddle monster.
