WELCOME
Wild Water Reset is a 4-week progressive nervous-system regulation experience delivered in a coastal environment, using the sea as one of its tools.
It combines mindful sea experiences, cold-water guidance and safety, grounding and breath practices, nervous-system education and integrated wellbeing support.
This isn't about swimming further, staying in the water longer or pushing yourself through discomfort.
It's about learning to notice your body's responses, develop confidence in the water, practise regulation and discover what happens when you meet yourself — and the sea — with greater awareness.
The sea is not the product. It is the environment we work within.
COLD-WATER GUIDANCE & SAFETY
As a trained cold-water immersion practitioner, registered nurse and STA Level 2 Outdoor Swim Safety qualified practitioner, I bring together cold-water knowledge, outdoor water safety and wellbeing practice.
You'll receive guidance around cold-water physiology, acclimatisation, cold shock response, safe entry and exit, and listening to your body's signals.
There is no pressure to stay in the water for a predetermined length of time or push beyond what feels appropriate for you.
Safety and regulation always come before immersion.
WHAT THIS IS
Wild Water Reset combines:
• nervous system education
• grounding and breath practices
• guided sea immersion
• cold-water awareness and safety education
• reflection and integration
It is a progressive experience designed to support steadiness, awareness, and embodied regulation over time.
Important clarification:
Each session is part of a structured 4-week progression. The value is in nervous system adaptation over time, not in any single immersion experience.
WHAT THIS IS NOT
THIS ISN'T ABOUT PUSHING THROUGH
Wild Water Reset isn't a swimming course, cold-water challenge or endurance experience.
You won't be expected to swim a particular distance, stay in the water for a set amount of time or prove how much cold you can tolerate.
Instead, you'll be guided to approach the sea mindfully, understand your body's responses and build confidence through supported cold-water experiences.
IS THIS FOR YOU?
Wild Water Reset may be for you if you:
-
feel overwhelmed, overstretched or disconnected from yourself
-
want to understand your responses to stress
-
want to develop practical regulation tools
-
feel curious about cold-water immersion but want guidance and support
-
want to build confidence in natural environments
-
want to experience the sea in a safe, mindful way
-
want to reconnect with your body and yourself
-
are looking for an experience that supports you beyond the time spent at the beach
You don't need previous cold-water experience or to be a strong swimmer.
You do need to be willing to participate in a guided, structured process and follow the safety guidance provided.
The 4 week journey
Each week supports your nervous system in a simple, structured way.
Facilitated by Pammy
I am a Specialist Cardiac Nurse with over 20 years’ experience in nursing, alongside being a Mindfulness, Breathwork, and Cold Water Practitioner.
I am fully insured and have now completed my STA Level 2 Open Water Safety qualification.
My work combines clinical understanding with nervous-system-informed and embodied practices, supporting people to reconnect with themselves through the sea, breath, sensation, and presence.
While cold water forms part of my work, this is not about pushing through discomfort or chasing intensity.
It’s about learning how to safely stay connected to the body in real time.
To notice sensation without immediately resisting it.
To build steadiness within the nervous system.
And to experience the sea as a supportive environment for regulation, awareness, and reconnection.
The sea has become one of the places where I feel most grounded, present, and regulated — and this work has grown from both personal practice and professional experience.
Through guided sea immersion, breathwork, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation practices, I create supportive spaces for people to slow down, reconnect, and move at a pace that genuinely feels safe for their body.
My sessions are rooted in compassion, safety, nervous system awareness, and evidence-informed wellbeing practices.

Sea sessions are scheduled around the tides, sea conditions and available daylight. Wednesday and Friday groups will take place during daytime hours, with exact session times confirmed in advance. Safety & facilitation
Wild Water Reset is held with professional water safety awareness and structured facilitation.
Sessions are guided by a Registered Nurse and STA Level 2 Outdoor Swim Safety Instructor, with ongoing training in coastal safety.
All sessions are planned around:
• tides
• wind
• weather
• sea conditions
• group safety
• individual wellbeing
The sea is never controlled — preparation and decision-making are.
Safety decisions are always final and made in the best interest of participants.
Experience variability
Because this programme works with natural environments and nervous system responses, no two sessions are identical.
Some sessions may involve:
-
time in the water
-
observation from the shoreline
-
breathwork and grounding on land
-
shorter or longer immersion depending on conditions
This variability is intentional and part of the regulation process.
Why Wild Water Reset is different
Wild Water Reset brings together:
Cold-water expertise + nervous-system regulation + mindfulness + sea safety + nature + integration
The sea becomes a place to practise awareness, confidence and regulation.
You'll learn to:
-
recognise your responses to stress and sensation
-
notice what your body is communicating
-
practise regulation in real time
-
develop confidence gradually
-
make choices based on awareness rather than pressure
-
take these skills into everyday life
BEFORE YOU JOIN
Every participant begins with a 20–30 minute one-to-one wellbeing consultation.
This gives us time to understand what you're hoping to gain from Wild Water Reset, explore your experience and confidence around the water, discuss relevant health and wellbeing considerations and make sure the programme is appropriate for you.
We'll also discuss cold-water safety and your individual approach to the sea before you begin.
It's not about passing a test. It's about making sure you're joining the right experience for you.
Step 1 – Application & Health Questionnaire
You complete a confidential form covering health, experience, and suitability.
Step 2 – 1:1 Consultation
(20–30 minutes)
This is a required pre-programme consultation for all participants.
We explore:
• health and medical considerations
• swimming ability and water confidence
• previous sea or cold-water experience
• current stress levels and nervous system capacity
• expectations of the programme
• suitability for group participation
This ensures the programme is appropriate, safe, and well matched.
Step 3 – Foundations Session
Before entering the sea, all participants attend a Foundations Session covering:
• programme structure
• nervous system basics
• sea safety
• tides, currents, wind and conditions
• cold-water physiology and cold shock response
• breath awareness
• grounding practices
• boundaries, consent, and choice
• personal responsibility in a dynamic environment
Depending on conditions and group readiness, initial sessions may focus on observation, grounding, and education before any sea entry.
Safety and regulation always come before immersion.
'But you already go in the sea! What did you join
Pammy's class for?'...
A sea-based wellness programme
A unique way to relax and de-stress through practicing mindfulness whilst gently meeting the sea.
I didn't know quite what to expect when I signed up for Pammy's sessions but I thought they might help me get into the sea on colder, greyer, more choppy days...
What I discovered was the joy of being more playful in the water, the science behind how experiencing 'the Blue' increases our wellbeing; breathing exercises to help me stay truly present when entering cold and choppy waters (literally & metaphorically); and how to respond more calmly in real life.
The programme becalmed me and I'm sure it'll help extend my healthspan!
Pammy is supportive and kind. She really knows how our bodies work, and how we can help ourselves activate our parasympathetic nervous systems. She pulls from deep expertise, and passion for the sea, to work out which calming techniques will be most beneficial to each of us
I now tell people who ask about the course it's brilliant, you learn so much about you, about how you feel and the sea is your medium. It unlocks physical and emotional feelings by being in it, feeling it, seeing what's around you but always remaining in your comfort zone, for me that's not going out of my depth. I've now realised I need to take time out for "me" I say it to people all the time (in my work) but you've allowed, almost prescribed that it's ok to take time out for ME
There were so many highlights seeing that beautiful seal I will never forget that, experiencing the sauna on the beach, sitting chatting, getting to know you guys and hopefully remaining friends for life. This has been a wonderful experience and one I want to repeat! Mindfulness at its best!
Something I've never done and want it to be a habit I'll carry with me for the rest of my life!
More than four sea sessions
You're investing in the whole four-week experience, not simply the time spent in the water.
The value of Wild Water Reset lies in the combination of guided sea experiences, cold-water education and safety, nervous-system practices, individual support, reflection and integration across four weeks.
The aim is for what you learn by the sea to become something you can take with you into everyday life.
